Everything you need to know about the Grand Départ in Amiens
Highlight of this cycling season: on Tuesday July 8, Amiens will be in the spotlight as the starting town for the 4ᵉ stage of the Tour de France. This will be the 14ᵉ time the Picardy capital has hosted the Grande Boucle, confirming its deep attachment to this mythical event. In particular, we remember the beautiful stage finishes in 2015 and 2018, engraved in the memories of enthusiasts.

Amiens, city of departure
The runners will be presented in downtown Amiens before the dummy start in the Rue de la République, in front of the Musée de Picardie.

After a few kilometers through the streets of Amiens, the real start will be in Vers-sur-Selle, on the RD210, heading for Crèvecœur-le-Grand, with a route strewn with difficulties at the end of the stage, in the run-up to the finish in Rouen.
On the program:
- Entertainment and Tour podium, from 10 a.m., on Mail Albert 1er and Place Longueville
- Publicity caravan, from 11.15 a.m. in front of the Musée de Picardie
- Fictitious start and team parade, at 1:15pm, in front of the Musée de Picardie (rue de la République, Amiens).
- Entertainment downtown, from 1:30pm, between Place René Goblet and Place de l'Hôtel de Ville
- Concert, from 6pm, place Gambetta
