Tour de France: join the competition for decorated towns and villages!
To mark the Grand Départ Lille-Nord de France, the Hauts-de-France Region, the Département du Nord and the Métropole européenne de Lille are offering a major decoration competition for the towns and villages they pass through. Register your commune now!

Who can participate?

All towns crossed by the Tour de France in the Hauts-de-France region (Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Somme and Oise), excluding stage, start and finish towns.

How does it work?

Are you planning to decorate or decorate your town along the route, on a traffic circle or on a public building? Sign up and describe the originality of your project. A car will pass before the Caravan to take photos, which will be submitted to the jury.

How do I register?

Submit your application now on our dedicated form, and before July 3, 2025.

A prestigious jury

The jury for this competition is composed of :

  • Christian Prudhomme, Tour de France director
  • Alain Bondue, former Nordic cycling champion
  • Matthieu Prudhomme (alias Wim'), designer of the official Tour de France 2025 poster

Three separate prizes will be awarded:

  • The Grand Prix, all municipalities combined
  • The special Villages prize, for towns with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants
  • The Public Prize. It will be awarded following a vote organized on social networks among the top 10 municipalities.

Why take part?

Firstly, to show the whole world that the municipalities of the Grand Départ Lille-Nord de France love cycling, and they're showing it!

The winners, who will be announced at the end of the Tour 2025, will receive a commemorative plaque, as well as media coverage.
